Aim, fire,
ouch!
If you want
to feel the thrill of war without the risks,
paintball is the game, writes ZALINA
MOHD SOM and SHANTI
GUNARATNAM
WHEN shots are fired, some "victims"
get all "bloodied". Those who don't
move fast think fast and make strategy plans
will get "killed" by their "enemies".
Welcome to paintball. Despite all that shooting,
ducking and "blood", paintball buffs
swear it's not a violent game. It's just a
leisure pursuit that actually helps inculcate
team spirit, promote teamwork and instill
confidence.
The game can be fun, messy and painful (if
you get hit, of course). For some players,
this is where they get a taste of "war"
- without the risk of losing life or limb.
