Those who don't move fast think fast and make strategy plans will get "killed" by their "enemies". Welcome to paintball. Despite all that shooting, ducking and "blood", paintball buffs swear it's not a violent game. It's just a leisure pursuit that actually helps inculcate team spirit, promote teamwork and instill confidence. The game can be fun, messy and painful (if you get hit, of course). For some players, this is where they get a taste of "war" - without the risk of losing life or limb.

One thing that everyone agrees on is that paintball is a game of thrills and spills. Many paintball arenas play pounding and funky music to up the tempo. Here are some places where you can get a paintball high.


Paintball Tag Arena @ Bukit Tinggi Resort, Bukit Tinggi

Come and play war games in the hills of Bukit Tinggi Resort's Paintball Tag Arena. At 780 meters above sea level in the Titiwangsa Range, the resort offers a fun war game zone amidst cool and serene bungalows, lush lawns and natural jungle.

There are four paintball game fields - two open fields and two jungle arenas - designed for beginner, intermediate and advance levels.

The rates, at RM60 per person (open field battle) and RM90 (jungle arena), include a round of 50pellets, coloured armband and mask. Ten members make a team.

If you prefer not to get paint on your clothes, you can rent a set of a top and pants for RM15 or shirt and pants separately for RM8 each. There is also a target practice range for those who want to test their shooting skills.
