In Penang, Berjaya Georgetown Hotel features a ballroom with a maximum seating capacity of 900 persons (theatre seating).

 
Berjaya Hotels & Resorts has stepped up to ride on the booming MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) industry in the Asia Pacific region. Targeting the growth of the MICE business, the group has kicked off a series of major product enhancement and upgrading projects to meet the needs of this market.

According to Lynn Oh, vice president of sales & marketing, “The prospects for our hotels and resorts look healthy in the growing MICE market. We have spent over RM60 million on upgrading our facilities, as well as to build new chalets and rooms. Our aim is to constantly provide our guests with up-to-date facilities and a variety of unique MICE destinations. We also strive to strengthen our travel and corporate partners’ relationships both locally and internationally.”

Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort now boasts of the island’s biggest ballroom with a seating capacity of 900 persons. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi Internet facilities throughout the public areas, ballroom and eight other meeting rooms.
In addition, a new exclusive Thai restaurant is open and invites guests to dine under the stars.

Helmed by an innovative Thai chef, Pahn-Thai restaurant is built on stilts over the water with a romantic backdrop of the Andaman Sea.

The latest addition at Berjaya Tioman Beach, Golf & Spa Resort, is the ‘The Challenger Park’, which features a wide range of team-building facilities.

From outdoor challenges to professionally guided indoor training programmes, the resort provides a conductive environment for outdoor trainings and business conferences surrounded by beautiful beaches and scenery. The resort also features Tioman Island’s only 18-hole international golf Course.

On the award-winning Redang Island, Berjaya Redang Beach Resort features one ballroom that is also divisible into four separate meeting rooms. This caters to smaller groups and is ideal for more intimate or casual settings.

The ballroom also features a breathtaking sea view that definitely surpasses any other offered from normal ballrooms. The group has also recently launched an exclusive collection of suites targeted at discerning holidaymakers who are in search of a private and serene gateway.

The new room categories include six Premier Rooms and 12 Premier Suites, 12 larger Oceanfront Suites, plus the existing 72 Redang Hillview and 40 Redang Seaview deluxe rooms.

Consequently, the 266-room Berjaya Redang Beach Resort now boasts of the largest room inventory on Redang Island.

The group’s flagship city hotel, Berjaya Times Square & Convention Centre, is currently undergoing refurbishment. Plans fro refurbishment include the guest rooms, relocating the guest lobby and check-in area (from Level 14 to the Ground Floor) as well as unveiling new executive floors. Upon completion, Level 14 of the Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Centre will be expanded into wider dining spaces and will also have an additional new business executive lounge, dining room for corporate guests to enjoy more exclusivity.

In Penang, Berjaya Georgetown Hotel features a ballroom with a maximum seating capacity of 900 persons (theatre seating). It features newly refurbished and exclusive Berjaya Club Floor guest rooms, with special privileges for its corporate guests – complimentary in-room Wi-Fi Internet access, express check-in and check-out service, complementary usage of Berjaya Club Lounge and more.

The hotel is located within the ‘I-Stop Midlands Park’ and offers easy accessibility to the heart of Penang’s food, shopping and entertainment district in Georgetown.

Offering refreshing meetings on top of the hills is the Berjaya Hills Convention Centre, a two-level, pillar-less convention centre with a maximum seating capacity of 1,000 guests plus a banquet facility to serve 700 persons.

This RM20 million investment also features four rooms designed to cater to smaller meeting groups of up to 70 persons or combined to accommodate a maximum capacity 200 persons theatre style.
